B.Annie 290 Posted May 30, 2017 (edited) I'm on clear liquid diet for a week post surgery and can only have my Protein Powder mixed with Water - which is the worst experience so far. Yesterday I was still trying to gag down one scoop of Protein powder in 32 ounces of water (diluted to try to make it go down better) and had a great idea that now I'll be doing daily this summer. I took ice and a scoop of chocolate protein powder and blended it up using the rest of my above mentioned protein water (about 10 oz) to make a protein icee. It was so much better than I expected and I was able to get the full 28 ounces down within 2 hours. I feel tons better now that I got that much more water and protein in on day 5 post op. It's not exactly ice cream, but it's certainly enjoyable. The New Kel 1,312 Posted May 30, 2017 I did the same thing when I was on the pre-op liquids. Blended with ice is sooooo much better!!! 2 B.Annie and ZumbaMami reacted to this
AstroGuy 54 Posted June 1, 2017 I was on the Protein Shake diet for 6 months about a year ago. Nothing but shakes, lost 65 lbs. The ONLY way I would drink it was with ice. It was like a ice cream shake. I actually like it. 1 powerhouse1955 reacted to this
Sadiebug 206 Posted June 2, 2017 That sound really good! I don't know if you can have Decaf coffee yet but lately I've been making my Protein Shakes with a cup of decaf, a splash of skim milk, ice and a scoop of Protein powder all blended up. I also took my Protein Shake and poured it into popsicle molds to make protein pops. Basically anything icy cold is my go to for protein shakes 1 B.Annie reacted to this
losingheather 6 Posted July 14, 2017 That is so good to hear. I have freeze pop sleeves and was thinking of prepping freeze pops with Protein powder and sf Jello and throwing them in the freezer!
