#fitnotfat 42 Posted May 30, 2017 As the title says I've lost 50lbs in 5 months since my rny surgery, is that a low amount to lose? Been in a bit of a stall the last two weeks and have only lost 2lbs hope I start losing again it's a constant worry! Any comments will be helpful thanks in advance. TheGirlInThePinkScarf 28 Posted May 30, 2017 I've lost 50 pounds in a little over 5 months myself. I know that if I compare that to other people, it seems low.But I was told that I'd be considered a slower loser comparatively because I had a lower BMI, so I tried my best to prepare myself for that.I don't get too focused on the numbers because I'm following my team's plan and I know the weight will continue to come off even though I'll still have stalls. The amount of pounds I've lost in this short amount of time is the most that I've ever lost and I'm so proud of myself! I'm also over 50% of the way to my goal and that's what's most important to me!So, as long as you're doing what you're supposed to do (sticking to your plan) then you'll be fine. Stalls are inevitable, but so is the fact that they pass. Sent from my SM-N920P using BariatricPal mobile app
Berry78 4,261 Posted May 30, 2017 Everyone loses differently, but just think..in a year, at this rate, you'll be down over 100lbs! Not everyone will see 150lbs on the scale at the end. Make sure you are ok with that reality. 180 or 200lbs is a heck of a lot healthier than 300+... this is what I tell myself every day. The more "ok" with your journey you are, the more "ok" your journey will be to you. (By which I mean, if you aren't stressing, you'll lose more weight.. within reason. Sitting on the couch eating pringles won't help either.). Motivation, determination, drive... these are all good weight loss terms...
