boo2015 0 Posted May 29, 2017 Hi everyone I am new to this group. I had the gastric bypass 2 years ago in June of 15. I lost a hundred pounds in 9 months and then started to get off track. Only 2 things make me sick n I feel my surgery didn't work for me. I am currently struggling with regain and wanting to lose more but also go right back to my old habits. The only habit I have not picked up back is soda. Sent from my SM-G930R4 using BariatricPal mobile app
Sherrie Scharbrough 311 Posted May 29, 2017 1st I would drop the pop. It isn't very good for us at all. Anyone. Then I would try to go back to basics. Do Protein 1st always. Take your time to eating. You still have it in you to fix things. You know what worked for you when you lost your 100#'s. Also remember the WLS is a TOOL. You have to do the work. When you do all of the basics I'll bet you will be surprised at how well your tool works for you. Good Luck

MarinaGirl 609 Posted May 29, 2017 Can you elaborate on why you say the surgery didn't work for you? Because the challenges you've mentioned are not due to the surgery but are likely due to unresolved issues with food; your headspace, not your digestive tract. Are you seeing a counselor or have you reached out to your bariatric team for guidance?
boo2015 0 Posted May 29, 2017 I mentioned it to them but they seem to think everything is ok. I didn't get back into sweets till I started having problems with low blood sugarSent from my SM-G930R4 using BariatricPal mobile app
