Vsgneeded 24 Posted May 29, 2017 Hi I started my pre-op liquid diet today. My surgery is on the 6th. I can only have Clear Liquids but I feel like I'm on day 1 of survivor. My tummy is growling like crazy. Any tips? I don't know how to do this for an entire week.
PatientEleventyBillion 851 Posted May 29, 2017 Your stomach growling is likely gas and contents moving quickly through your digestive tract, called peristalsis. There's nothing abnormal about it, especially post-op.

But thanks for your comment

Amy Turner 16 Posted May 29, 2017 It is normal to have gases forming in there, meanwhile take liquids. Hope it works...
WiFiGamer 3 Posted May 29, 2017 Yeah clear broths and herbal teas, coffee too without milk and sugar. Interesting. I'm on sorta the same. Mine is liquid only (the same you described) but I have to drink 4 to 5 Protein Shakes a day and I can have sugar free popsicles. I need to have clear liquids only on the day before my surgery. I'm scheduled for June 9th. 1 Vsgneeded reacted to this

They said clear liquids - I can add Protein to it as well but should be minced.
Sosewsue61 3,185 Posted May 29, 2017 There are clear Protein powders you can add to Water or ready made Isopure and Synthrax nectar.
