Hi. I had my clothe tailored to fit better and purchased minimal essentials especially for work. My shirts were easier to fit but definitely tailored my pants. I went from xxxl shirts to large and pants were size 46 and presently 34-36 pending designer.

Jeans are a waste of money when you are losing. They are going to be too big every 2 to 3 weeks if you like your jeans to fit. I had to learn that the hard way.

Dresses and skirts get the most mileage, you can wear them a long time after they are too large and it isn't noticeable.

Besides compression leggings for working out, I feel like leggings are a bad choice. I have some leggings that are 3 sizes too big and I can still wear them. They were workout leggings that were not compression leggings. When you wear stretchy clothes, you don't see your loses and it seems like you aren't getting anywhere with your weight loss.

Tailored/fitted clothes are the best because they will last longer and cover more flaws. Clothes with structure, look okay even when they are too large for longer. And you notice your loses better.

I wear a lot of dresses and Ross has them pretty cheap if you don't want to go the Goodwill route.

I live in Salvation Army and Goodwill finds! And, after they get too large I take them to a nearby consignment store for larger people and make money for more clothes. I'm very picky about clothes so I have stuff to sell.

I'm 6 months out today. All I've been wearing are leggings and shirts. I bought one pair of jeans. I'm in a size 14 jeans. I did have to buy new uniforms for work. Lol

You can get the most wear from dresses and Ross does have some really nice brands there, you just have to look. I get Calvin and Ralph there all the time. Along with with cheaper unknown brands.

Honestly if you are a good shopper, clothes are so cheap now there is no reason to wear used clothes.

I purchased 5 bodycon skirts over memorial day weekend for less than $30 total.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
