Joann454 1,329 Posted May 30, 2017 Since I'm not dumb (although that could be up for debate) I'm going to try it today. 2 Inga1018 and Berry78 reacted to this
MrsHTX 51 Posted May 31, 2017 I was avoiding straws at first before I returned to work. When I got back I started drinking out of them just from habit. It was probably a week before I realized what I was doing. I haven't had any issues. I'm one month out.
Joann454 1,329 Posted May 31, 2017 I started using them. No issues. 9 days out from sleeve. 1 Inga1018 reacted to this
SassyScienceNerd 213 Posted June 1, 2017 I use a straw all the time. I've never had any issues with gas or reflux. I don't swallow air when I drink through a straw, so I don't understand the correlation. 1 PatientEleventyBillion reacted to this
Berry78 4,261 Posted June 1, 2017 I don't have problems with straws either. Just drink one sip at a time, separating the air from the liquid in the mouth. A straw with a hole in it can bring a ton of air, but that's pretty easy to tell. I think the problem is only for people that guzzle with the straw.
