Charlie75 82 Posted May 28, 2017 I have been on this low-carb high-protein diet for about a week. But I am still not sure, do I count all carbs or just carbs from sugar? Is Fiber counted in the carbohydrate intake?Sent from my Moto G (4) using BariatricPal mobile app

There can be carbs in fiber but since we can't digest it, it doesnt count.HW 420SW 347CW 321Sleeved April 10, 2017
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted May 28, 2017 Net Carbs, subtract the fiber.
PatientEleventyBillion 851 Posted May 29, 2017 If you're not diabetic, sure, only count net carbs. If you are, count them all.
Missy161 395 Posted August 30, 2017 I track everything I put in my mouth. Are you pre surgery? That's different. I'd do net carbs pre surgery. Post surgery just count everything. Post Surgery: My doc & nutritionist said to keep the sugar grams under 7 other than that I only really watch the Protein because protein and Water are the most important and post surgery we don't have room for much if we are sticking to the protein first and enough water rule. I have a lot of trouble getting my water in. Today has been a good one though because I know I'm on the verge of dehydration and have been drinking a lot.
