anniew1 6 Posted May 27, 2017 Hi. I did a band to sleeve conversion in two parts. The sleeve surgery was on January 31 of this year. At first it seemed like this was going to be the answer for me, but now it seems that I hit plateaus hard every couple of weeks. I want to scream all the time! Its like my body and mind are fighting me all the time. I feel like I know everything I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to control myself. I'm eating all the right stuff, but just too much of it. I'm not gaining weight (thank goodness) I'm just not losing enough. I have another 80 lbs to go (84) and I'll never get there at this rate. I am just hoping to find a buddy who can talk me off the ledge sometimes, and can just help me laugh at the silly parts of all of this so maybe I can stop focusing on the whole thing so much that I am always focused on food. Thank you! 1 rainyann reacted to this
adelicatetreat 8 Posted May 28, 2017 I can totally understand the frustration of plateaus, however you must not give on yourself. Thinking about food a lot? yeap that's also me, I try to think other things like a project I am doing or going to the gym, or just getting out with my dogs. It's hard but worth the fight, we have but one life, why not be happy and healthy in it? I hope this helps and reach out any time.
Kj1 0 Posted May 29, 2017 Hey, I'm on LI. I had surgery April 12th. I'm about 40 lbs down. I have 40-50 lbs to go. This past week I didn't go down at all. I heard that if you get to a plateau, go back to stage 2 foods and shakes. Have you tried that? That's my plan this week to break it up. I'm hoping it will jump start weight loss again. I am at 204 and want so bad to get under the 200 mark. It's been awhile since I've been under. Usually when I get the the 200 mark, I can't get power just with diet so I am anxious for the scale to be in the 190s and lower! I think about food all the time as well and need to add more exercise. I'll let you know how going back goes.
