Hello fellow bandsters! :D I Honestly Couldn't Be Happier With my decision to get the lap band!

Just wondering what you all eat daily. What do you find that fills you up the best and longest. How many calories do you consume on a regular basis?

How many pounds have you lost monthly? Just wanting to see where I stand. I realize everyone is different. Just want to compare.

Also what exercise are you doing? How often do you do It?

I look forward to read what everyone has to say. Thank everyone! :206_cat: !!

Hi KellyCats, honestly I've been able to eat just about anything as long as I take my time, eat the proper portions, and take the right size bites. Mostly I focus on Proteins, veggies, and lemon Water.

The nutritionist told me to try and stay around 1200 calories a day. Some days that's what I do, some days it less, some a little more.
As for exercise I do treadmill, bike, weights, basketball with the kids, swim, etc. It is so nice to have lost the weight and be able to do all these things.
Hope you have all the success in the world!

KellyCats, I can not eat bread, of any kind, it gets stuck, I can drink anything, eat chicken, steak and pork. I can have salads as well. I can not eat bananas or grapes. Protein keeps me satisfied the longest, It is a learning process, I am still learning and test my band all the time. I started with walking and have now incorporated swimming, I felt very frustrated my first few months but I kept at it. I hope to loose another 65 pounds to be at my goal weight.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
