Banded2003NYC 55 Posted July 24, 2017 Tomorrow two weeks post op sleeve and hiatal hernia repair. My left abdomen is still swollen near one of the seven incisions, but it isn't red or infected. It is still painful to stand or walk for more than, say, 10 minutes. I don't know when I will be able to wear pants or anything around my waist. I don't work, but know I wouldn't be able to go back to work yet. Just starting to feel my strength back.... still taking a nap every afternoon. Everyone's body snaps back differently just take all the time you need until you're comfortable. I know folks who were fine with 5 days and some who needed a full 3 weeks off. Hopefully you're feeling like yourself again very soon.

I am still having a hard time meeting all my water/ shakes, Vitamins and meal schedule. Hopefully being back at work I can get a routine going. I am still very bruised from all the heparin shots they were giving me and especially the very big hematoma it caused so it still looks like someone took a bat to my entire abdomen but I have no pain!!! I gained 5 lbs when I had arrived home from the hospital but as of today I have lost 21lbs. Very very pleased!☘️😎💙 3 excited268, bigperm and LaLa Ladybug reacted to this

Anyone else able to eat/drink so much on first few days? 1 bigperm reacted to this

It took a lot for me to get in the liquid that they wanted me to have and I struggled even after I returned home. I think a part of my issue was that everything tasted nasty and it was not until I could get home and get some homemade chicken broth and sugar free Popsicle that I was finally able to take in what I needed. Also, applesauce mixed with PB2 was my favorite.
