Wondering if anyone eats low carb, high Fiber small tortillas. I found a recipe for a Breakfast burrito and am hoping to be able to eat.

1 egg scrambled, 1 turkey sausage link, 1/8 c. Low fat shredded cheese in a tortilla..

I mean you could but why not just eat it in a bowl? I had fajitas all last week in a bowl.

If you just have to make it portable you could make these with no cinnamon or sweetener.

I eat 1/2 of a low carb tortilla and it satisfies me - though only once a week.

they are delicious. if you use the waldens farms zero calorie pancake Syrup it makes for an amazing breakfast.

There are other low carb tortilla recipes on the internet.

I use the store bought low carb tortillas/wraps every now and then, but they still have grains in them. So if you have been low carbing, as soon as you eat them you are going to gain Water weight.

Do you use low fat cream cheese? Though my dr. said I wasn't getting enough fat.

Today I was able to have scrambled eggs, ground turkey sausage and a little cheese....it went well. Thought I waited long enough after...about 45 minutes minutes to take my pills. Big mistake. My esophagus started spasming my back started hurting, almost threw up... that foamy stuff is not fun. 35 mins later I am feeling better. I did not like that at all.

I also consume full fat products instead of low fat or no fat ones.

I gave up grains so no tortillas for me but I have mastered almond flour tortillas and make breakfast tacos all the time.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
