Arthur Dent 20 Posted May 22, 2017 I'd like to get everyone's thoughts about the best apps for recording food and Water intake. I'm currently using the free version of MyFitnessPal, which works perfectly with the Apple Health app on my iPhone. The reason I like using the Apple Health app is that it pulls in a lot of data from a lot of sources — it collects all of the nutrition information MyFitnessPal, all of my weight recordings from my Withings scale, and all of my activity data from my phone and watch. I've heard about Bariastic, which seems to have a lot of great post-surgery tools, but I don't know if it works seamlessly with Apple Health. Also, I don't know if the additional features make it worthwhile to switch over. What app (or apps) do you use, and what do you like most about them? What are your recommendations? YeaMe 246 Posted May 22, 2017 I too like MyFitnessPal because it connects to my Apple Watch/Health. Also like that it has most foods when doing a search and it is easy to copy/paste a recipe and it locates all the ingredients. 3 cassiegurl, Arthur Dent and AmandaWho reacted to this

I am thinking that since MyFitnessPal doesn't have a very sophisticated Water tracking app, I might use Bariastic for that.
Katriena 70 Posted May 23, 2017 Baritastic might be OK for your needs. I downloaded it, wasn't able to find the first three foods I tried to look up, and deleted the app. Their food database is relatively small; MyFitnessPal's is light years bigger. And the Water tracking is fine imo.RNY 14 April 2017SW: 295 lb / 134 kgGW: 187 lb / 85 kg (I'll see when I get there) 2 Alex Brecher and starfishwish reacted to this
