LizLee 1 Posted May 21, 2017 Hi Everyone. I am 10 days post op and laying in bed crying my eyes out. I have been overweight for 10 years and thought all my prayers were answered when I finally got my approval for surgery. I followed the presurgery diet and my bmi was under 40 so I as told it would be a safe journey. I had surgery and the same day I let fainting and my heart rate was super high. The next day they realized I had internal bleeding and had to go back in for surgery. Two days later I as much worse and had to get a couple of blood transfusions. After a week I came home for started feeling so much better. Yesterday I woke up with a swollen lymph node in my neck and I feel more tired. I am so nervous i am going to keep getting complications. SORry so long but nobody seems to understand especially because it was an elective surgery
Diana_in_Philly 1,426 Posted May 21, 2017 So sorry you are having a difficult recovery. Do call your doctor's office about the swollen lymph node - they need to be aware of it. Just remember that these first few weeks are tough because your body has been through trauma (surgery) and is healing. It's going to be 4-6 weeks before you start feeling "normal." Hang in there. 1 LizLee reacted to this

LizLee 1 Posted May 21, 2017 It's hard. You here so many success stories and hardly any with complications. I am so scared that I will never feel good again. Thanks for letting me know I am not alone

Thank you. I already left him a message. I have no fever so that is the only thing helping me not go too crazy. Thanks for the support 1 LittleSomethingNew reacted to this
