In Case You Needed Another Reason to Stay Hydrated...

Recommended Posts

I'm a little over 6 weeks post op, and was doing really well until a few days ago when I wound up in the hospital with a very painful kidney stone. I had been feeling so good that I stopped paying attention to my Water intake, which lead to dehydration and the stone. (To make me feel even more like an idiot, I already knew I was prone to kidney stones, which is why I was such a freak about water consumption pre-surgery.) The doctor at the hospital also told me that bariatric patients are at a higher risk for kidney stones. If you've never had a kidney stone, consider yourself very lucky. It's a kind of pain that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. (Okay, that's a lie - I would wish it on my very worst enemy.) Now I'm struggling with staying hydrated and have had to go back to a liquid diet, thanks to the nausea that comes with the kidney stone. FUN!

TL;DR: Stay hydrated or you may wind up with a kidney stone.

My brother used to get those and he swears by hydration along with vit c, magnesium and vit b6.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
