MeltsIntoWonder 125 Posted May 20, 2017 I'm a little over 6 weeks post op, and was doing really well until a few days ago when I wound up in the hospital with a very painful kidney stone. I had been feeling so good that I stopped paying attention to my Water intake, which lead to dehydration and the stone. (To make me feel even more like an idiot, I already knew I was prone to kidney stones, which is why I was such a freak about water consumption pre-surgery.) The doctor at the hospital also told me that bariatric patients are at a higher risk for kidney stones. If you've never had a kidney stone, consider yourself very lucky. It's a kind of pain that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. (Okay, that's a lie - I would wish it on my very worst enemy. ) Now I'm struggling with staying hydrated and have had to go back to a liquid diet, thanks to the nausea that comes with the kidney stone. FUN! TL;DR: Stay hydrated or you may wind up with a kidney stone. 2 GrrlAnn and Finding_Stacy reacted to this
