I had a period every 2 weeks for about 14 months. It started with them moving up, then it was every 2 weeks, and with spotting in between. :57_cry:

Hello, has anyone had problems with their periods coming a week or two early? I'm one month post op

My period is on SO HEAVY! I have never had a period this heavy in my life. Heard it's common though.

Heavy is ok, just make sure you aren't bleeding too heavily (more than a pad an hour is cause for concern).

Weird periods... Par for the course after surgery...

It sucks! My acne has also flared up - it's very clear my body is going through hormonal changes. Happy to be getting healthier but it is starting to get annoying.

You poor thing. Yes it has also been coming about every two weeks for me too. Not heavy bleeding but the cramps are in full force.

It sucks also because I either gain 5 pounds with my period or stall. So it made it seem like my weight loss was slower than it was.

I had breakouts too. I went to get derm and got pills for those, they have helped so much. The pills also help with Hair loss.

That is exactly what is happening to me oh my god - thank god I'm not alone. I have been losing weight slowly but it makes sense that my period being so constant affects it. Pre op I always gained and retained Water weight through out my monthly. Do you mind sharing the name of the pill you are on? I'm currently on a rx cream right now but maybe something oral would work better.

This surgery is one of the reasons I had this surgery. No period for over a year unless medically induced. I was hoping I woulf get one this month because I hate having to take pills for it to come. Alas nothing. I guess I should justvtake my progesterone and carry one.

I'm right there with you guys. All of it. Early period , acne , weight stall/gain. I'm so happy to have found this thread and know I'm not alone.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
