I was just in Brussels in November for their Christmas Market I was also alone (work trip). Do you speak French? I do not, and was able to easily get around there. Just about everywhere offered menus in English, too -- you just have to ask. Same with signs, almost everything is in French and English. How long are you staying? Do you have any plans? I did a great walking tour of the city when I was there and it was "free" (you just tipped the guide at the end. most people gave 10 euro). I just came home last week after spending 2 weeks in France and Italy. I'm really looking forward to traveling after my sleeve surgery, I know I'll enjoy it even more. 1 Caz73 reacted to this
Banded2003NYC 55 Posted May 8, 2017 Belgium is great and no issues due to language barrier. Was just there 2 weeks ago and everyone speaks English.

Albeit - the endless Lebanese treats on every corner in Brussels and to die for chocolate will be tempting but the losers bench taste so much sweeter. So, you will do great! Enjoy your time there! 2 Caz73 and starfishwish reacted to this
