I am one week out yesterday and I am wondering if it is too soon for Tomato Soup or Tomato broth? I have read that the acid in tomato products is not good for healing. Is this true?

I don't think it's true. Acid would be a problem if you had open incision wounds, but lap-band patients don't. That's more directed at RNY or DS patients, who have had the actual stomach cut and have wounds that would be exposed to the contents of the stomach. They aren't supposed to eat pepper, garlic, acidic foods, strong spices, etc. for a while after surgery, just for that reason.
