I have used the Celebrate capsules since right after my RNY. I had my WLS on July 2, 2013. As soon as I could I started using them instead of the chewables. They were way to sweet for me!! I also take hair SKIN AND NAILS 2 times a week since my B12 is high I use to take it everyday until just recently. I take SELEINUM every day. It helps wirth immunity and Hair loss. I also takre VIT D 6,000 mg a day. My bloodwork has always been just great. What does your Team say about which Vitamins to take? Always always keep up on your vitamins. Sometimes it may take awhile for stuff to show up. I have seen people having problems later on. I would say to start taking the HAIR SKIN AND NAILS before your surgery. Not everyone has hair loss but the majority do. I did . Also try to find a good Shampoo to help you not lose your hair. But above everything make sure your follow your Surgeon's guidelines. Good Luck

Awesome, thank you!!! I have a big packet from the doctor with lots of different brands to choose from. I was thinking about those supplements since I would not need to take additional B12 or VitD3 according to the doctor. Great to have some other input from those who have used it [emoji2]

Talk to your doc. They have their own views on it that would be best served by asking them.

Yes, I will definitely get more details when I go for my next appointment. They give you a large packet with tons of info as well as a list of options for Vitamins and I was looking for those who may have had some experience. Thank you!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
