Seahawks Fan 771 Posted May 3, 2017 The long wait is over & the short wait begins. They called this morning & scheduled my surgery & pre-op/post-op appointments. I attended my seminar in January so it hasn't taken all that long. Hopefully there are no unexpected surprises. 2 Joann454 and Sosewsue61 reacted to this

tx_scorpio 17 Posted May 13, 2017 Good luck. I also have my surgery scheduled for May 30th. This forum has been a great resource. I read the negative and the positve to prepare myself. 1 Seahawks Fan reacted to this
Seahawks Fan 771 Posted May 14, 2017 I been having mixed thoughts/emotions & weird dreams & that's totally out of the ordinary for me but I think it has a lot to do with the pre-op diet & low carbs. It's a huge change/commitment & there is a certain level of fear/uncertainty going on which is also out of the ordinary for me. I just already want to eat normally & small portions are fine but this pre-op & I'm sure post-op diet as well are tolerable but in a behind bars kind of way! Smaller stomach/ smaller meals should be easy compared to this agony! 2 pretty.ruby and Sosewsue61 reacted to this
pretty.ruby 35 Posted May 14, 2017 It does get easier. I have one week of liquids left prior to surgery and today was the easiest tet.Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using BariatricPal mobile app

tx_scorpio 17 Posted May 30, 2017 It was actually cancelled on last week, because my blood pressure was too high and the anesthesiologist wouldn't proceed. So, I am now cocentrating on getting my blood pressure down so I can get it rescheduled, hopefully towards the end of the month.
ouisch 13 Posted May 30, 2017 oh man, i am SO sorry! i would have broken down if they rescheduled me! (especially after working my butt off on this pre-op diet!) but you have to be healthy and take no chances! i hope that you get your BP right and get a new date soon! hugs
tx_scorpio 17 Posted May 30, 2017 Yeah, it was pretty devastating. I was at work and it just deflated me. I really appreciate you following up, it was very thoughtful of you and people like you make me work even harder to get my bp down. For whatever reason the day I had an appt to start my pre-op it was 164/108, not sure what caused that. I have been cutting my salt and sodium intake and also not stressing over things. tx_scorpio 17 Posted May 30, 2017 I have been checking it and it has been in the low 120's and 130's and bottom number in the 90's.
Joann454 1,329 Posted May 30, 2017 Is that normal for you or higher than usual?
Joann454 1,329 Posted May 30, 2017 I can't believe they wouldn't consider that one high one an anomaly and proceed. I had a set back as well. I too was devastated. Here I sit newly sleeved. It'll happen for you too.
