My Multivitamin from the surgeon makes me nauseous. I have to take 2 a day and have split them up and take them. At different times and with food. Anyone else have a suggestion on how to take it with out feeling ill. It's the only time I feel like barfing.

Me too! I was just about to post about this. It's the only time I feel crappy. I need a new vitamin...one that's easy to tolerate. Thanks for posting this, I"m hoping for suggestions as well.

Ive had really good luck with Centrum chewables (orange flavored). I didn't like some of the others my surgeon suggested and these were also on the approved list. I take 2 per day.

So you take 2 instead of the 1 it says on the bottle?

Yep, 2 per day per my surgeons and dietician. I usually take one in the morning and one in the evening so that they're spread out.

I may try that. I took them pre op and the first week after but the Dr called these in for me and I started taking these since they are a package deal.

We are prescribed Forceval but the damn things are like bunker buster bombs at just over 2cm long each. Worse is you can feel them pop in your belly.
Swapping back to my own at end of week, can't swallow these buggers.

When i started out i was only allowed chewable but no gummies. (yet) Took Bariatric Fusion but it tasted disgusting to me. After 1 month my surgeon allowed me to take the gummies and i've never looked back. They're a bit sweet but better than anything else i've taken so far. I buy Costco's Kirkland adult gummies, or vitafusion women's gummies. Both have done a great job so far. Or if you want skip pills/chewables altogether can try the vitamin patches but some people say they don't work for them.

I'm 2.5 months post op, and I use the patch! Have had no problems, and my levels are excellent!

I use the Bariatric fusion in Orange Cream. The chews aren't bad either. Sometimes I will just blend them up in my smoothie so I don't have to chew them.

Ugh! I still struggle with this! I'm still trying to find the right Multivitamin. Everything I try seems to make me sick to my stomach. Have been curious about the patch...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
