Samia toufik 5 Posted May 3, 2017 hi, I need help! I had my gastric sleeve surgery in 2014 in Cincinnati and in the same time the doctor fixed an hernia in my stomach . Few weeks later i started having pain in my stomach it's like a hunger pain. I lost just few pounds and I stopped when went back to him complaining about the pain he said it's the gall bladder I did the exam and everything was fine. In mean while we had to move to another state, and the pain got worsened more and more. So after 4years I decided to go see an another bariatric surgeon and he did an odoscopy he came back with the result saying that I never had the gastric sleeve surgery and the pain is due to the hernia. I was choked , betrayed, more depressed than ever, specially I paid cash for it. Please tell me what to do next? Thank you. 1 EJStar reacted to this
Deactivatedfatgal 377 Posted May 3, 2017 What? So what did previous surgeon do? Did he simply perform procedure incorrectly? I would definitely be speaking with him. 2 ProudGrammy and Ms. Brightside reacted to this
Samia toufik 5 Posted May 3, 2017 Well my new bariatric doctor is going to contact him and discuss what he did exactly. But he definitely confirmed and I saw the pictures that the gastric sleeve wasn't done and my stomach looks normal.
PrinnAnna 16 Posted May 3, 2017 I'm sorry this happened to you. The first thing I would do is gather all the receipts and and get a statement from the doctor you just saw and contact a lawyer. 6 GrrlAnn, ProudGrammy, change050117 and 3 others reacted to this

PrinnAnna 16 Posted May 3, 2017 Just start calling around. Usually if the first one you call doesn't handle those kind of cases, they'll direct you to someone who can. It's medical malpractice....that's the type of case you have. 2 Ms. Brightside and change050117 reacted to this

OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted May 3, 2017 I wouldn't have your Dr contact him. I would have your Dr document everything then sue the living hell out of the other one. And report him to the state board. 6 ProudGrammy, john925, Alyssa_T and 3 others reacted to this

RickM 1,752 Posted May 3, 2017 If this original procedure was insured, you can also contact the insurance company that paid for it - they love doctors who commit insurance fraud. 3 PatientEleventyBillion, teacupnosaucer and Newme17 reacted to this
