SpeakerSpeaking 6 Posted May 1, 2017 I had my surgery on 10/12/16 and, so far, am down 112 pounds. As I put on some of my clothes that clearly need to be replaced I have begun to wonder... Any Scouters on here who have had weight loss surgery? I am Cubmaster of Pack 1683 in Springfield, VA as well as an Assistant Roundtable Commissioner, District Lion Coordinator and the Council Lion Champion. I have three uniforms... all of which are way to big but getting a new uniform is as big of an investment as getting a new suit (especially if you have lots of Patches to be sewn on). dtiller1147 137 Posted May 2, 2017 Hello: Yes, I have same problem. I am the COR for my Pack 297 in Camden De. Everything is too big including my expensive hunting gear and rain suite too. So I replace a little at a time. Our boy scout troop has a "community closet" where you can donate your old clothes or camping gear to help out the scouters who might be financially strap. The boys go through several sizes during that time frame.
dberthelot02 13 Posted May 2, 2017 I was wondering the same thing - I am Committee Chair of our Pack, and my uniform shirt is SWALLOWING me 2 months after surgery! I'm loathe to replace it yet because I have a long way to go with weight loss (and my son will cross over to Troop in January). I love the idea of a "community closet"! I may suggest that to our Committee for the future. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
