erica2185 84 Posted April 30, 2017 So I know with major weight loss comes access skin. But after my rny I don't plan on going back under the knife. So is there a way to minimize saggy skin without surgery.?Sent from my HTC Desire 530 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Rita48 reacted to this
Pazza 199 Posted April 30, 2017 There is a lot that influences saggy skin after surgery. Age for example. So it is hard to gauge how it will be. There are a lot of threads on this and it can be a difficult topic. The good news is that it doesn't bother many as much as we thought it would. The best advice I've heard is to build muscle as best you can. Trying that myself. And it seems to give more structure. I try to take good care of my skin and am of course getting in a lot of Water.< br>However in the meantime, looking to Truvy's advice and searching for Lyrca for these thighs. [emoji12] Hope that helps a little. All the best. 1 erica2185 reacted to this

Sajijoma 1,324 Posted May 7, 2017 There's not a whole lot you can do. There are a lot of factors on the battle of the skin. How many stretch marks are on your skin, age, how many children a person has had, how fast they gained the weight and held on to it to begin with. For me, my whole childhood into adulthood I was morbidly obese and I've had 7 kids and stretch marks on my stretch marks. My skin is horrific. My doctor says I am carrying around about 30lbs of excess skin. It bothers me immensely, it makes finding clothes that don't show it harder, but I've put a lot of time in both trying to shape muscle under the skin for support and a lot of money in buying compression undergarments that minimize the appearance on the outside. The only thing I haven't found is some way to hide my bat wings now that it's tank top season. They are a true embarrassment for me having gone from well over 429lbs down to 190 now. I just cannot afford skin removal and I lost my insurance so I'm pretty much just trying to conceal and not reveal. Don't let the skin hold you back though. Even knowing that I have all this hanging skin, I would still do it in a heartbeat. 2 MarinaGirl and Shannon W reacted to this
blondie66 271 Posted May 8, 2017 Agreed!! The health and energy and fitting into normal clothes is worth the lose skin.
