clevergirl 41 Posted April 29, 2017 I will be moving to purees next week and my surgeons office has recommended baby food meats. Anyone have any favorites? Recommendations?
lalame 56 Posted April 30, 2017 I would recommend not eating baby food meats. Honestly you will probably throw up.If you have the time. Make chicken and purée it in chicken broth. Or strain Soup and add chicken and blend it in blender. Tastes like it should unlike the baby food. Sleeved 9/6/16 starting w: 267. Surgery date w. 233. LadySin 404 Posted May 1, 2017 Ugh no way! I'm on WIC and I get many jars of meat for my baby. They all taste like how cat food smells. In fact I ended up giving them to my cats. They balked at first. Had to mix it up with dry cat food. I wouldn't even give it away. The rest went in my composter. Needless to say I won't be buying that ever again. Just make your own. It's so much better. Good luck, you've got this! 1 Dashofpixiedust8 reacted to this

Dashofpixiedust8 1,469 Posted May 1, 2017 I REALLY recommend NOT eating baby food. I tried it and it was TERRIBLE. I suggest finding some healthy slow cooker recipes and using a food processor or nutribullet (thats what I used) to make it into a puree. Foods cooked in a slow cooker are softer to begin with and will puree better. You can also just cook regular meats and puree them with broth, milk, or a sauce. I used things like hoisin sauce, pesto, anything that will add flavor but not a lot of calories. Since you eat so little you can use what you want. I also suggest things like refried Beans. I heated some up with a little cheese and sour cream.
