sleever123 8 Posted April 29, 2017 So I attempted to go out w friend yesterday and the few places we went I didn't see any options. I'm 3 weeks out and still have to eat mushy- but sick of yogurt and not huge on meat. So I got all snappy and ready to cry because for the first time since surgery realized the struggle this is going to be... any food ideas or websites? Newme17 3,444 Posted April 29, 2017 (edited) What kinds of places did you go? Maybe we can chime in to what they may have mushy-wise for you? Edited April 29, 2017 by Newme17

OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted April 29, 2017 I mean at 3 weeks, its really not even worth it going out. That isn't a representation of real post-op life though. I eat out all the time, and it is pretty easy to make choices on plan once you are like more than 3 months out. I was out of the house all day yesterday and ate out all day and still ended up under on calories I go to starbucks once a week and get egg bites and a flat white. You could eat the egg white bites on mushies, get a bottle of Water for after you are done. I don't eat at Chipotle, because they are criminals but, even on mushies though, you could have got a side of guac or slices of avocado. pizza place is tough, but you could have just got some cheese to much on. Restaurants are really accommodating if you ask. The trick is to know what to ask for. Like I go to the sub place by my job, for lunch I get Italian beef, but they put it in a bowl for me. It isn't on the menu, I asked them to do it and they do it all the time. 1 JenH76 reacted to this
