esaad 86 Posted April 26, 2017 I have a surgery date of May 15th, and I am trying to start planning ahead - Vitamins, Protein, food - and I was wondering if anyone has tried any good tasting baby food? I already know that I like the fruit, but what about the Entrees and vegetables? I am having a hard time mentally getting over the fact that I am going to have to puree my meat and veggies, so I would like to know the best things that you all have tried. MeltsIntoWonder 125 Posted April 26, 2017 I've been on purées for 3 weeks now (only one more to go!), and I haven't puréed any meat. I've been drinking lots of Protein Shakes, smoothies with a heaping cup of plain Greek yogurt (23g of protein), and Soup. 1 esaad reacted to this
Newme17 3,444 Posted April 26, 2017 I'm glad you asked that cause I'd like to know too. I've considered buying baby food and adding spices to them. Not sure yet. I'm May 15th as well! 😊 1 esaad reacted to this
Paul Bahr 73 Posted April 26, 2017 I lived on Campbell's Chunky Soup, chicken and beef broth, and associated meats for extra Protein. For example, bought split pea and ham soup, toss in a half cup or so of ham cubes, some chicken broth to thin it all down, and blend, blend, blend. Didn't look very good but taste was awesome. 2 mrsdaniel2013 and esaad reacted to this

Mandybb 183 Posted April 27, 2017 I was told not to eat baby food because they add sugar and salt. 4 rosefromcali, BrodieGL25, queendeborahbee and 1 other reacted to this
rainyann 118 Posted April 27, 2017 I didn't eat baby food or pure anything. I did eat a lot of Soup and used my immersion blender to smooth it all out. I couldn't stand the thought of pureed meat but some do and like it. Protein Shakes, yogurt and Soups for me 1 Newme17 reacted to this
gogreenmama 9 Posted April 28, 2017 I'm using baby food made by Earth's Best. It's not bad. Lol! I don't eat meat so I'm eating the fruit and vegetarian jars. 2 Ms. Brightside and Newme17 reacted to this
gryffen 176 Posted April 28, 2017 Buy a blender and do it yourself, I've got 10 days of puree left then I'm on solids and can't wait.I honestly buy weight watchers meals and then blitz them, one meal makes about 4 servings.Sent from my HTC One M9 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 rosefromcali reacted to this
MarinaGirl 609 Posted April 28, 2017 I'm almost 3 weeks post-op. I'm using my Nutribullet blender to purée chunky Soup and I'm also adding Unjury unflavored Protein Powder to it. My favorite is split pea with ham. Or Tomato bisque soup that I add fresh spinach and cottage cheese too, plus the Protein powder. I also whip up chicken noodle soup but try to remove as many of the noodles as possible. 1 esaad reacted to this
