This is why it's always a good idea to update your drivers license, passport, etc., after dramatic weight loss!

True, but you but for a document that is supposed to last 5-10 years anyway, you shouldn't be forced to update a passport before its expiration date because of weight loss. That's where immigration officers need to use some gumption

Funny, because I just renewed my passport - I was going to do it last year, but didn't get around to it. Glad I waited.

I have an American friend who was forced to update her documents due to dramatic weight loss. It really makes sense, if you think about it. If you no longer appear to be the person in the photo, how are those who are in charge of checking these documents able to accurately verify your identity?

Also, women, tell your people who do your mammograms. My gf got called back in because they thought they'd confused her scans with someone else's. Then she told them she'd lost 110 lbs since the last time they saw her. [emoji23]

sorry to disagree with folks comments

i don't think this story is funny at all

i would have been horrified

i would have a "discussion" with a boss later

this sounds illegal too

the lady had to board the plane ASAP

her hurry might have been due to her mandatory

strip - when i had lost my 105 lbs (Goal)

i did get a new picture for DMV the guy did a dble take

when he saw the old me!!

i did have my old license with me and i proudly

told him about my WLS surgery - no prob;)

Passports last a long time.. and faces change. The average passport good for 8 years. Trained immigration officers look for simmilar facial structures. These dudes were just being douches.y 14 year old passport was a face decimated with acne. By 21 I looked very different. Never raised a single eyebrow. It shouldn't even be a problem these days where we have biometric screening.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
