madamlash 21 Posted April 23, 2017 I was sleeved on April 20 - on day 3 post op now.Going well, haven't had much pain or any problems, just uncomfortable gas every time, which I am sure is to be expected. However, I have found that having my liquid meals standing up/walking around is the only way to relieve the gas and actually burp. So now I eat standing up!Anyone else doing this and how long I might expect to be doing this for??
Ashley~ 2 Posted April 23, 2017 Yes I did the same. It just felt better. I did have a friend say that when the bubbles started to sit up straight and open my mouth and let my body do the rest. Sure enough that helped too. Seemed really funny but it helped
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted April 23, 2017 I still eat standing up if I am short on time and need to eat fast
jillybeanRN 76 Posted April 23, 2017 I was sleeved on 4/18 and do this about half the time, mostly to continue to relieve the gas! Also to keep my mind occupied, makes it a little easier to cope with just having the fluids right now. I've been struggling with a lot of head hunger so staying busy (even just walking around) helps a lot!
