rainyann 118 Posted April 23, 2017 I had my sleeve done, my gall bladder out and a hernia repair. I was supposed to stay one night but stayed 2 due to a snow storm. I could have gone home after one but I am secretly happy I was there the extra night. I could have managed at home since I opted not to take any narcotic pain medication but it was nice to have help getting out of bed if I needed it.
grindnfool 15 Posted April 23, 2017 I stayed 2 nights after sleeve and hiatel hernia repair. Would've went at 1 night but I had issues with vomiting which prompted the extra night.
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted April 23, 2017 I pushed to be released the next day because I hate hospitals and also because my friend needed to return home on my day 2 after surgery. I think 2 days is probably more normal, but I was really motivated to get out of that hospital, so I was out in about 26 hours from checkin 2 ProudGrammy and Newme17 reacted to this
Newsoulz 11 Posted April 23, 2017 I went home the next day about 24hrs after surgery. I would have been discharged earlier that day but my blood pressure was really high and they wanted to monitor it a little longer.
Newme17 3,444 Posted April 23, 2017 I expect to be there for one night and released early the next day. I tend to have a high tolerance for pain and am usually above par with my surgeries; I will also be doing as much walking around as I can so I can go home early enough. That's my hope. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
