mrsdaniel2013 41 Posted April 20, 2017 Can liquids stretch a sleeve? I am in my 2nd week post op and still on full liquids. I can drink 8oz of liquids in a 20-30 min timeframe. I just worry that I'm going to stretch it before I start!HW 420SW 347CW 334Sleeved April 10, 2017
FatCat•2•SkinnyKitty 12 Posted April 20, 2017 Idk but I'm on day 15 post op and I can pretty much drink 16 oz in a sitting. I can also "eat" 1/2 c cottage cheese or almost all of a 14 oz shake. Feeling discouraged.
evesta 67 Posted April 20, 2017 I think some of that is normal healing and "real" food will fill us up more. I just had surgery Monday so I'm still pretty tight. Four bites of cream of wheat kept me full half the day but with liquids I notice are getting easier with bigger sips. Think about how little you are really consuming in a day compared to before. We got this! 3 ProudGrammy, Mrs.W and Deactivatedfatgal reacted to this

ShelterDog64 2,364 Posted April 20, 2017 You won't feel any restriction on liquids...they don't 'fill' your sleeve. You'll feel it when you start eating dense Protein.< br /> You're able to take in more liquid as time goes by because the swelling in your sleeve is going down. And no, liquids don't/won't/can't stretch your sleeve 3 FatCat•2•SkinnyKitty, evesta and Rowvin reacted to this
