Plastic Surgeon referrals for after weight loss please!

Recommended Posts

I am almost at goal! Took a lot longer than I expected but I am loving this new body! Not so much for the extra skin though. I want to start researching plastic surgeons to tighten up my tummy, arms and legs. I only lost about 70 pounds but it's jiggly for sure, not hanging over or anything though - so no way will insurance cover it. Anyone have great results with an affordable surgeon? I don;t mind going to Mexico or Central America to save some money either! Thanks~!

There is also the radical option of just loving yourself the way you are.

Didnt go through all this to stop at the one yard line! God blessed me with a beautiful body that I have been covering in fat for decades. I am thrilled to be able to enjoy it's strength and beauty for the years I have left.

Was hoping this forum had a number for people who were experts on apres weight loss surgeons. I have tried to research myself but it's hard to see who's really good and specializes in this. the real self site is pretty good but nothing beats a recommendation. Thanks!

There are plenty of great post weight loss surgeons out there. In my opinion, cheap isn't good and good isn't cheap. I have researched and found Dr Fisher in San Antonio, close to where I live. I expect to spend lots on plastics. I love myself, but let's be real...who doesn't want a "normal" looking stomach and perky boobs? If you are willing to travel, check out Simone's journey to health on Facebook. She used someone in Arizona and her results are fantastic.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
