CLOTHING! I have always been heavy but most of my weight gain is more recent. I really look forward to fitting into some of my old clothes. I have donated a lot of smaller things but there are quite a few pieces I kept. I also had to buy some bigger clothing throughout the year to hold me over. I can't wait to donate it all! And although it's always a struggle in the clothing stores, I can not wait for the day I no longer need to find the "plus size" section (or should I say the few racks shoved in the corner with no signage).

Besides clothes shopping, my biggest thing is going somewhere (restaurant, theater, amusement park ride) and not worrying if I'll fit or if whatever I'm sitting on/in will hold me.

Me three on the clothing. I have a bunch of cute stuff from smaller times that I really want to get back into. Plus I love vintage-inspired stuff which just looks better on a slimmer figure.

I'm also looking forward to being back in shape. Five years/90 pounds ago I ran a half marathon and I'm dying to be that fit and active again!

Probably a horrible thing to say but I waited for people to stop saying, "What a fat POS." It was worth the surgery to have people stop saying that. It is such a shame that we live in a society that puts down people due to their weight, social status, race, job or whatever.

I am now proud of who I am and what I do. My self esteem has risen to an all time high and I find that I hold my head high.

Getting it over with and passing the 4-6 week mark with no leaks. Honestly, that is the #1 thing I am looking forward to.

Outside of that, I am most excited about the idea of aches and pains subsiding, improving the overall quality of my life (and lifespan, as obesity-related diseases run on both sides of my family) and a distant 3rd is clothes. I will definitely have fun shopping again!

Is 4-6 weeks when you KNOW you won't have a leak? Is that how long it takes to fully heal inside? How do you avoid leaks? My surgery will be in June. I'm very afraid of leaks

Per my surgeon, leaks after 4-6 weeks are extremely rare, as that is when the incision line should be fully healed.

I've posted this before somewhere, but mine is to wear my wedding ring again. Never had it resized for this very reason, for it to fit again. Can't wait. I have a zillion other reasons too, all for health mainly.

I am praying that my diabetes goes into remission!! Second to that is shopping in my closet... I have saved most of my smaller clothes and I can't wait to be able to wear many of them again.

Going out with friends and not being worried that the wait staff would try to sit us at a booth. That fear kept me from going out with friends on many occasions. I even remember one where I arrived after the rest of my group and we all had to move because I couldn't fit in the booth. :(

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
