missmissy628 0 Posted April 18, 2017 Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone hit a weight loss stall early on after surgery. I hit a stall after my 2 week full liquid once I started purée. I track my intake and I know I'm not eating much. I get my Protein and pretty much most of my Water. The scale hasn't moved in 8 days and I am trying not to get discouraged but it is really hard. Thanks

ThanksMy first stall was at 3 weeks and it lasted for 3 weeks. Perfectly normal. I'm now 10 weeks post op and down 70 pounds. I think I may have hit another stall but will know tomorrow. Stalls...plateaus whatever you want to call them are normal and you will probably hit several on the journey. Just your bodies way of adjusting to the change it's going through. Good luck. alyssaM09 2 Posted April 18, 2017 Yes, I did hit a big stall after I started soft foods and didnt lose weight for almost 3 weeks. Very frustrating! It picked back up again and I am back to losing around 5 lbs per week. I am walking a lot. Don't worry, you'll get there!Sent from my SM-G930P using BariatricPal mobile app

alyssaM09 2 Posted April 18, 2017 I increased my exercise and I started tracking my calorie intake in addition to Protein. My NUT told me a plateau early on is normal and not to worry, your body is still adjusting. I was struggling getting my minimum 60g of protein in because the Protein Shakes make me gag now. She recommended Atkins lift protein drinks....clear fruit flavored with 20g per 16.9oz bottle. Sent from my SM-G930P using BariatricPal mobile app
