Well, I've really been taking advantage of this wonderful support system. I've asked so many questions and gotten so much help and relieving answers. Thank you.

So now, my next one. I was sleeved last Thursday. In June, literally 2 months from now, is my wedding. What are you all eating 2 months post op? Liquor? Are you able to eat more than 3 bites of something?

Thanks in advance. Appreciate you all

No liquor! Not a wise idea you may hurt your pouch. My doctor say no alcohol ever. Other doctors say 6 months. But as you probably know it would hit you like a ton of bricks. As far as eating i think thats about it.

I would be extreamly cautious of alcohol... its irritating to the stomach and you wont know how you are going to tolerate it especially so soon after surgery.

I know im a debbie downer lol
BUT congrats on your wedding!!!

Congrats on the wedding. I am a little over 4 weeks out and I can only eat 4 oz and I am full.. but I am still on soft foods. Although there is always good food at a wedding, focus on the good times and dancing and you won't miss the food and alcohol. Have fun

My doctor said no alcohol for at least 6 months so I would not personally drink. Maybe they can make you a virgin version of your favorite drink that way you still get the taste and give off the illusion of having a drink if you are not sharing that you had surgery.

As for food I was cleared for a regular diet at 8 weeks but was told to introduce foods slowly and also I was eating a very small amount still. About 3 ounces total. I'm now up to about 5 ounces total.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
