How many fills to get to the green zone?

Recommended Posts

Hi there, I got my 2nd fill today, I received 2cc's which now has me at 4cc's. I certainly hope I have more restriction because with the first fill practically nothing. I would be curious to know on a 10cc band what was your sweet spot? What amount of fill did you receive in order to get to that sweet spot?

For me I am on my 4th fill, my first two were both .75CC, the third was 1cc and 4th was 1cc. total of 3.5CC. I have lost the most weight so far with the 3rd fill after a month I have lost 10lbs. Next week I am scheduled for either an adjustment or stay as is. I think I am happy with the progress with this last fill and may either be on the green zone or the edge. It is for sure tighter in the morning than the evening. but each person is different. hope this helps and good luck on your weight loss journey.

I am on 6cc and still not getting what I want from it. Going back on Tuesday to discuss further. Haven't lost any weight from initial 10-14 llbs. V disappointing. Had my op in January. Hope it starts to work soon.

i had the 14cc band and for me it was 10cc but then i had my TT and they took everything out and 10 was too much and 7.5 was a good place....

but i had to get my band removed a month ago due to a slip after 8.5 years. I got sick and threw up and bam... slip. So it's all up to me now.

Best of luck to ya

Chris

I went in for my 3rd fill today, I have a 10cc band and am currently at 5.2cc. I lost 5 pounds, no idea how this happened- LOL. I am at almost 30 lbs since surgery. I know that everyone is different and what works for some may not work for others, I just want to get to the not feeling hungry point. Hopefully this fill puts me in the green zone, my doc fills under Fluro, said barium went down good and it is a "wait and see kinda thing", he did tell me that the majority of his patients hit their green zone between the 3rd or 4th fill, in cc's it is about 5-6.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
