The dreaded 3-week stall strikes again!!!! Only weighing once a week, jumped right on this morning hoping to see a nice size loss.....only a .3 weight loss??? How can that be?? My calorie intake is only about 400-500? The Laws of logic don't match up. Bummed. [emoji20]

From what I have read it is just your body getting used to the new calorie intake/ lifestyle (I could be completely wrong), I know the feeling of the stall and it's heartbreaking but when it's over you're more motivated then ever

When did you have surgery? 400-500 calories doesn't sound like enough, especially if you are exercising. Are you making your Protein and fluid goals? At 8 -10 weeks I was eating 600-800 calories and now at 6 months I'm eating between 1000 - 1200 per my surgeon's and NUTs recommendations

I have a 3 week stall every 3 weeks!. Then I step on the scale and a chunk is gone or just a few pounds are gone but I have changed sizes in clothes. Difference in my weight between last Monday and today, 2 lbs. - but have 2 pairs of pants that fit me last week that didn't today. I can't figure it out!

Still in puréed diet. Start soft foods next week.

I stall roughly every 3 weeks, but then I will see a 2-5 lb. loss. I have started to notice that my body likes to stall at old set points. I'm really looking forward to 197 😁

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
