I'm having my surgery in 6 days, and this is what I have packed. Nightgown, robe, and slippers, they will have you up and walking a lot. I packed lotion and chap stick, hospitals are always so dry. Toiletries to clean up, hairbrush and elasics. I know they tell you not to bring valuables, but my husband will be watching over my stuff....I have loaded my tablet with a dozen of my favorite movies, lots of music, and a good book. The internet in hospitals is weak at best, so you can't count on that for Netflix! I also put some nail polish in my bag. Gives me something to do, and it makes you feel pretty =) And lastly, comfy elastic waist clothes to go home in. I am leaving a pillow and blanket in the car for the ride home, our drive is almost 2 hours! Good luck with your surgery!

The only things I brought that I actually used were my robe and clean underwear. Never touched my iPad, and the hospital had all the toiletries I needed.

This is a good list. To add to it, I also plan on taking some unscented baby wipes for ease of clean up. Also, my own pillow and a favorite blanket, as I will be spending at least one night, per my surgeon.

My theory is that it never hurts to be prepared. You could end up spending a couple of days in the hospital and I would regret not having some comforts of home in that case.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
