All I've read from vets here on this forum is that your stomach can't stretch the way we think it can. So a sleeve wouldn't need. I've read you can stretch the opening or exit (or something like that). They certainly can't stretch back to pre-surgery stomach. Whatever happens, believe in yourself, and love yourself (cheesy I know) you've got this! Goodluck!

I myself and in the process of being resleeved. My stomach has stretched to what looks like a a small normal stomach. Let me know what you find out. Or if you want to be resleeved buddies. :)

Hello Hineydoll3 ... when are you scheduled for? Who's your surgeon? I'm in nj . Where you from. Hope u don't mind all the questions. I would love to be resleeve buddy's . I'm torn between the bypass and sleeve. Right now I've been approved to be resleeved and I see my dr on May 1rst to talk more about it . Scheduled for May 30th . I'm so scared as I can't find too many people with resleeves. Do you know what bougie was used on your original sleeve? I'm so happy you wrote me. PLEase keep in touch.

I'm waiting to hear back from the insurance. All they required was one neutrino class and a psych eval for the revision. I'm from Texas and Dr John Pilcher will be performing my revision. He has also given me the choice between resleeving and rny. I'm not too sure what to do. What is a bougie?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
