BlooEyez 13 Posted October 11, 2007 Congrats Stacy!! After doing 4 minutes this morning I thought there would be no way in heck I could do another 4 minutes today because it makes my legs so tired & achy ... anyway, I surprised myself and went for 5 minutes this afternoon! :whoo: One of these days I'll master that machine ... NewStart 0 Posted October 11, 2007 The elliptical is hard, but with time it becomes easier. At first I couldn't last for 3 mins, and now i can go for about a hour!! Keep with it because it gets easier. I can do it for like an hour now.

Suzzzie. 3 Posted October 16, 2007 Lol. I just HAVE to chime in here! My first time on the elliptical I barely did 2 minutes... the next time I worked very hard and made it to 5. - THEN I discovered the incline settings! (Duh!) Now I set it at the medium incline (5) and I can do 60-90 minutes easily. I LOVE the elliptical and choose it over the tredmill everytime!

Dibaby 0 Posted October 16, 2007 I loveee the eleptical! For nothing else that it burns an amazing amount of calories. One question though. Has anyone had issues with their feet swelling when on it? My feet actually fall asleep about 15 minutes into it. I really can't do more than 20 because its sooo annoying. Just wondered if anyone else had the same thing happenig. Oh and Blooeyes! I am sooo cheering for you! Keep it up girl. You'll see a big difference in your legs and butt soon. It's fabulous :Banane35:

allaboutme 0 Posted October 16, 2007 WE are cheering for you! Just think about how many calories you are burning while you are doing those 8 minutes. It really makes a difference. Of course the butt and legs is where I really need to lose weight. So, I just image it falling off when I am on the machine... Haha. I can now do 30 minutes, but it was a struggle. Keep up the good work!!!! Mary:)
TerriDoodle 6 Posted October 16, 2007 I used to have that issue of my feet falling asleep too. I did a little research on it and found that it's not unusual to experience that. It has something to do with the circulation being impeded because you never lift your feet off of the 'pedals'. Loosening your shoelaces will help, as will taking small breaks just to get the circulation back. Not much else you can do!

Yeah it was so odd to me because I wasn't experiencing this on the treadmill. I'll try to loosen up my shoes even more. Thanks!
