Lovelyladybee 126 Posted April 12, 2017 So I'm 2 months post op gastric bypass, and sometimes when I drink Water it makes me feel sick to the stomach and sometimes gives me really bad stomach craps, anyone else experience this?
Cheryl Denk 13 Posted April 13, 2017 I don't get sick or feel pain, but I used to love Water. Had no problem getting my 8 cups a day. Now I can't hardly drink two cups of water and two cups of Crystal Light a day. Really, I don't like food or drinks at all. Nothing tastes good. My nutritionist said this is normal because I'm still in Ketosis (almost 4 months out). She said once I come out of it, I will start getting hungry again and things will start to taste good again. She said I'll be wishing I was back to this. Sorry for wandering off there. Anyhow, I find it difficult to drink anything as much as before.
Cheryl Denk 13 Posted April 13, 2017 Also, you aren't using a straw are you. Small, tiny sips so you limit your air intake. It sounds like gas.

Pazza 199 Posted April 13, 2017 I'm sorry, can be tough. I get that when I drink something cold or drink too fast. Maybe the temperature?Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using BariatricPal mobile app

Sherrie Scharbrough 311 Posted April 13, 2017 I am 3 years and 9 months out from my RNY. I did get sick to my stomach and had some cramping. I found that if I drank to fast or happened to take in more than I should that is when it happened most. Or if you are swallowing to much air. You won't always feel like that is what is up but...it can defintly hurt you. Good Luck
