Why aren't you motivated? We can't motivate you. You have to motivate yourself.

My surgeon warned me cravings could come back as early as 3-6 months post-op and that the restricted feeling from surgery may not help with cravings long term. Cravings are the same for us as they are for other substance abuse users and must be dealt with in that way. My contingency plan should that happen is to run to a support group for food addiction and or my family physician for treatment with one of the new medications that specifically help control food cravings i.e.: Contrave and pray it helps! I'm sorry your struggling it's disappointing when you've worked so hard. Addiction is a daily battle you can do it!

MSer07 don't feel bad!!! This is what this is for to SUPPORT & MOTIVATE one another!!!! I too ate a small chocolate egg at Easter and my weight has stalled and I felt my cravings coming back, the struggle is REAL! What I did is do two days of liquid diet and it helped me, I didn't feel hungry at all and no headaches. I lost 3 pounds and now I feel I'm back on track. I had my sleeve done 11/15/16, I lost 43 before surgery and 51.7 after surgery. I was looking up different things and on here I found that if we lessen our carbs and increase our Protein that will surely help. Remember your not alone

My suggestion is to focus on why you had the procedure. I'm almost 6 weeks out and have zero desire for bad food, I did battle occasional head hunger. My motto is treat my body like the fuel in my car, if I put the wrong fuel in my body like a car, it will slowly break down. Best of luck xo :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
