I am 4 months post op and I am losing my hair. I had such thick hair to begin with and now it is getting so thin especially in front

Is anyone else experiencing anything like this?

Hi, yes I went through this. It is normal, mine lasted about 6 months. Not fun when you're going through it, but it will stop. Hang in there! Good Luck!

I didn't lose any hair, but most people do. It'll stop and then grow back in.

Hair loss is normal. Any time your body goes through trauma, your hair will fall out. This is a wee bit different. You have got to stay on your Vitamins and make sure you get 60gm of Protein a day (that was my instruction). I was given a name of a specific Vitamin that CVS didn't carry. We were told probably GNC or Amazon would be the only place to get it. Actually 3-collagen with hyaluronic acid for hair, skin & nails and it is at GNC. chondroitin and glucosamine for bones & joints, especially if you are post menopausal.

I lost a lot of hair, you could really see my scalp in some places. :57_cry: I like to think I was able to make it look better with bangs and styling it differently (down instead of up).

It just started growing back. I'm 6 months post RNY and started taking Biotin about a month ago.

I could feel the hair growing back before I could really see it. It felt like my hair was really dirty at the roots when I ran my hands through it, then I realized it was a bunch of tiny hairs that was causing the strange feeling.

I am 4 months post op too and my hair has thinned out so badly that I am worried to put my hands through it in case it takes out chunks with it!
