pain in stomach

Recommended Posts

anybody have this? I definately over-ate the other night.

Last night and all today I have been having pain/discomfort across my stomach (under breast area) I can not take full breaths without pain. no yawning, etc can't lay down to sleep (uncomfortable). Called nurse said that I was most likely 'blocked' and should try meat tenderizer. Did that around 2 pm. its around 11:00pm now and still no luck.

this is really strange to me as I have only been 'blocked' before in my throat.

Any one else have this?:help:

Well I am happy to report that the 'meat tenderizer' worked. This morning I woke with just a hint of the previous discomfort.

I wish this pain on no one........but I'm assuming if this happened to me it could happen to all........so be careful not to over do it like I did.:whoo:

ready to lose, glad to hear you are doing better. When I got blocked I used some papaya enzyme tablets, you just chew one or two up, it is the same stuff as in the meat tenderizer, only tastes better. I got it at a health food store. another remedy is pineapple juice. hope this helps.

Don't be scared -- I do eat some sweets - just small portions.

I also like to get something like gobstopper's (jawbreakers) I let them melt in my mouth then eat the sweet tart center. 13 of them is a serving for 60 cals.

You will do great --

how does the meat tenderizer work? how do you take it?

I found it in the spice area of the super market. My doctor told me to take 2 teaspoons with 1 cup of warm Water and drink it down. I tasted as if I was drinking a cup full of ocean Water.< /p>

I don't know how it worked,, but it did!!!!!!!!!!

I am now keeping it in my pantry just in case!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
