bones_girl206 11 Posted April 9, 2017 I have been sick to my stomach all day. Can't get through 6oz of Protein Shake without feeling terrible. I have PCOS and primarily stuck with whole eating seasonal and organic. My stomach is having a hard time with all of this fake food. I haven't had Jello in a decade same with pudding. I don't eat cream of chicken Soup from a can. I've made my own broth which helped a bit, but mostly I feel terrible. I can stomach popsicles and Water. My 3 week post op is this Wednesday. I am switching to soft foods and hoping this phase will go better. Anyone else dealing with this??
Berry78 4,261 Posted April 9, 2017 Yeah, so I've lived off of milk and home made broth. Tomorrow I start purees in earnest, and that will go much better! I've been lucky to not be sick, probably because I didn't push all those fake things. Oh, and Siggies drinkable yogurt or kieffer is da bomb. 1 HeatherS. reacted to this
caddygirl 208 Posted April 9, 2017 It will get better! Take it slow! I was on popsicles and Water with a little Low calorie Gatorade for a long time! I still can't drink but one Premier Protein a day! And only a few spoons of purée meats but I'm not complaining! Just Thankful

Annie980 7 Posted April 10, 2017 Try not to worry or get frustrated. It used to take me 2 hours to drink each Protein Shake and that's normal. I bought 1oz medicine cups off Amazon and used to pour my drinks into those to make sure I was drinking slowly. When I got to purée I made my own meats and broths and borrowed a friends vitamix to purée it very smooth. I also liked part skin ricotta (mixed with a bit of Water if you like it thinner/creamier. I lived off those things for awhile. It will get better, your body is healing. Good luck!
