This is normal and will happen many times!! Stalls are just part of the process. Some people increase the amount of Protein they have and that seems to move it. Otherwise, just keep doing the right thing (and stop weighing yourself!!) and you will get past the stall. Just make sure you are following all the basics. You'll do it! You will be fine

I am in same bind right now! I had a melt down this morning. Including the 2 week presurgical diet I am down 36 lbs (16 lbs after surgery) I am going onto week 3 post surgicial and gained 1 lb saturday and maintained today. It is so effin frustrating. Im following full liquids to a T and did 15,000 steps yesterday but no budge. I was losing steady before this. I want to lose at least 80 more lbs. And my hunger is coming back. Havent felt that till now!

You're okay. It is normal to stall at 2-3 weeks post op. I went up a pound. Just keep doing your program. You are doing amazing! The weight is coming off. I thought the hunger would disappear but it didn't. I eat when I'm hungry but only a few bites and I am satisfied. I eat a little less at my next meal and journal my intake to keep on track. You are doing really well.

Hi guys... it is absolutely normal to hit a couple of stalls along the way. Your body has been through a lot, is healing and will get to a point where it will catch up and pause. Dont be discouraged...this journey is real, the weight loss is real and you WILL be down 80 lbs before you know it (as long as you keep following your plan). I am just at 6 months and have hit a few stalls where zero weight came off for a few weeks...dont give up, just be patient.

do a search on "three week stall". It happens to almost everyone. There should be millions of threads on it in here...

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
