SouthJerseySleever 34 Posted May 20, 2017 I'm 2 days pot op. The gas pain is real, guys. My incision sites are fine, just slightly painful. I'm trying my best to get the gas out, but I'm so lethargic, I can only stand for a few minutes at a time. Tomorrow I'm supposed to start Protein, so wish me luck. I'm having a hard time getting in my clear fluids as it is. I haven't weighed myself yet, our scale is up stairs and I'm no ready to take on steps yet. 2 Groovylass70 and Heres2SecondChances reacted to this

I'm 4 days post op and the gas pains are no joke. They've eased up so and Gas X helps a little. Walking does help some also. I've been trying to grasp that it's going to take time to get through. 1 Heres2SecondChances reacted to this

cjqueenb1 1 Posted May 21, 2017 I have a couple friends who have had the sleeve and they are enjoying life to the fullest and have been for a few months! I wouldn't think the first year is hell unless you have complications. Maybe the first month though. You'll see here that everyone is so different. Some are hungry some have to force themselves to eat. I'm going the 22 and understand that fear of the unknown. I guess we just have to dive in and deal with what comes. Good luck. Thank you for easing my anxiety. It went ok. Just a heads up, there might be a lot of pain if a lot of air gets trapped in there. It doesn't happen to everyone but I wish someone had told me about it ahead of time. I wish you the best of luck tomorrow! Take careSent from my SM-S903VL using BariatricPal mobile app

It is so interesting how it affects each of us differently. I initially took the capsule tylenlols, but switched to liquid and it went down so smoothly. Hang in there, it does get better!
