Hi there! Thank you for responding. Things are going well, just taking it one day at a time. My first week was pretty painful and rough, but much better now. Are you having the RNY?

I start my liquid diet tomorrow. Only three days required pre-op. That said I did have to drop 15 pounds prior to scheduling. I'm not overly concern don't with the liquid diet, I've done all liquid before without much issue. I am most concerned with staying hydrated post op.

Hi there. Things have gone pretty well. I am down 47# since my Sx on 3/21/17. This past week I've had several days of nausea and vomiting so back on clear and full liquids for a few days. Almost everything makes me nauseous. How's it going for you?

Great job on the loss so far. I hope you get the vomiting resolved quickly. I'm doing pretty well so far. My surgery was 4/18 and I came home from hospital on 4/21. They wanted to keep me there an extra day since I am 2 hours from that hospital. My biggest challenge so far has been getting my Fluid intake up. Yesterday I was up to 30oz and today around 40 but still a ways to go to get to the 64 they would like. Overall pain has been pretty minimal, however I did have two nights of no sleep due to severe discomfort in my back. I assume it was gas related but today has been really good. I'm really looking forward to next week when I can add yogurt, applesauce, and oatmeal to my food list too a little worried about vomiting that may come with it.

Hang in there and sip fluids. I have learned that if I am nauseous, I need to stop eating and let my tummy rest. I feel much better these past few days.

Hi there. Congrats! How many weeks post-op are you? Things are going ok. Still get quite nauseated and have vomiting but can't pin point when or what triggers it. I'm down 60 pounds and am going on 9 weeks. I only have 15 pounds more to goal. I'm still fatigued as well. I'm hoping it will get better. Where do you live? I'm in CA.

I'm six weeks post. It's great you're so close to goal. My goal is another 90lbs away. I've been fortunate not to have much nausea and I haven't vomited yet. Just starting to add in more foods so I know it will happen. I'm in Va.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
