I started this process only a month ago, so I'm struggling a bit with how fast it's going. A little worried that I'm rushing this whole thing. Sounds like we're both on the fast track to get ready for this. I'd love to keep in touch. I have my pre-op scheduled May 15, with liquid diet starting the next day. 3 SleeveMe88, alltherightreasons and TTrisha reacted to this
BubbleSam 87 Posted April 30, 2017 Surgery is Wednesday... I am kind of in shock that it's a few days away. This has been something I have thought long and hard on and done all my research. I know it's best for me and am even more motivated since this preop diet! My highest weight was 303, I lost about 10 lbs on my own... now I'm down to 279.2 as of this morning with my preop diet. I can't remember the last time I was under 280. I am a little nervous but it's going to be amazing. Plus my support group friends all exchanged numbers with me and are going to check on me and support me since they know what I'll be going through. For that I am thankful! 3 days and counting!!! 6 SleeveMe88, Patriotsfanatic, TTrisha and 3 others reacted to this

Lizzle 15 Posted May 1, 2017 I go for my surgery in the morning! Still feeling mostly excited about the long-term and not too worried about the short term. I went to a baby shower today with cupcakes, fancy popcorn, crackers and all kinds of other things and I wasn't even tempted--guess that means I'm already starting to make better decisions and am determined to do this. At least I hope that's what it means! 2 Simply_Divine and BubbleSam reacted to this

stepaknee 9 Posted May 1, 2017 Yeah. I want to say it's normal. I mean, if you think about it, we're heading in willingly in for a surgical procedure that's pretty much going to make us miserable for a bit of time. I think we must be crazy! (or masochists.) I reminded myself in my journal though, I have to accept the fact that it's probably going to be painful, and miserable, and that was ok. The end goal was something very worth it all, and any fears of failure, and complications are such a small chance. I can't let my fear win. That's what I'm trying to focus on.How are you feeling today? My nerves kicked into high gear over the weekend. Glad we had plans to keep me busy. I'm ready, but definitely went through the nervousness. 1 SleeveMe88 reacted to this

I'd say anxiety is at a 7, and I know myself enough to know it'll jump to 9 once I get the call letting me know what time to check in. None of my friends around to talk to and other than tomorrow is my surgery, it's a completely normal day, lol. Instead of cleaning, I might break out my paints and do some art to distract myself. 2 SleeveMe88 and tee2008 reacted to this

I'm chill right now, I really had to work on myself yesterday afternoon and I'm in a better place now. I agree with painting, it's very relaxing and I bet you will create a masterpiece for sure! 1 SleeveMe88 reacted to this

Me either, I think it's going to be hard, but knowing if I don't do this they could postpone surgery after I've been waiting so long really helps motivate me. 2 SleeveMe88 and Sweet as peaches reacted to this
