How often so you weigh in?

Recommended Posts

I weigh myself every day, but for tracking purposes, I only count the weight I see on Wednesdays. :)

I weigh in every morning as soon as I wake, same time. It lets me know where I'm at. I don't think much of it really.

I'm already seeing changes in how clothes fit and energy levels. I'm also losing steady now, but soon I'll hit a plateau. I take weighing in everyday as just letting me know where I am and what I need to do different, if anything at all.

I have an Aria scale that uploads my weight automatically into MyFitnessPal when I weigh. I weigh every morning as soon I I get out of bed and after I pee. I love to see the graph of my progress. I have learned that the scale moves all week in different directions but by Friday I'm usually down a couple pounds unless I'm in a stall. I just love data!!!

I weigh myself everyday. I have the Aria too its fun to watch the graphs and data as it does wirelessly upload into several applications. I don't worry if it goes up or down or stalls it gives me an idea of what foods I need to avoid that might be causing trouble for me. I am only 4 weeks out at this point so adding food weekly I am trying to be cautious about triggers.

Im waiting for my one month check up to see my progress (so I dont freak out about the 3week stall) and after that I plan on weighing myself every Friday morning only at the gym. Got rid of the house scale. I get super obsessive about the scale and dont want to go psycho. I have enough stress right now!

Christina. Rose - OMG this is me too! I am now 5 weeks post-op. I decided to only weigh at doctor's appointments for my first 4-6 weeks post-op. Afterwards, I have told myself that I will only weigh myself on Friday mornings. I have to make a strategy with scale time given my past (and somewhat still current) obsession with the scale and the psycho impact of not seeing what I think I should see. I can't risk derailing my focus on all the other important things with my new VSG new lifestyle; I have enough to do with making getting enough Protein, getting enough Water, supplements, avoiding Constipation, etc.) Thank you!! Now I know I'm may not be such a weirdo afterall lol ;-) :-)

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
